The Honourable Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Sen. George Akume with The Hon. Minister of Works & Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, and The Honorable Minister of Information & Culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed. as well as others on Thursday 27 Auguat 2020 embarked on a joint inspection visit to The Loko-Oweto Bridge

which spans the River Benue connecting Nasarawa and Benue States.

The 2.2km Loko-Oweto bridge connects the Northern and Southern parts of Nigeria and will serve to reduce travel time between the two regions.

It connects Oweto in Benue, and Loko in Nasarawa, which links you to the Federal Capital Territory. It is also a major strategic transport route that connects this part of the country with those coming from the East of Nigeria.
